Protect people during the heatwaveRight now, we’re facing a heat emergency: water is being rationed, schools are closing, and vulnerable people are at extreme risk. But the government hasn’t brought in emergency measures to help people during an amber health alert. Everyone is talking about the heat, and it’s all over the news. Now is the time for us to make our voices heard by telling the Government to protect us by making sure emergency water supplies are provided by water companies and that protocols for extreme weather are activated.1,250 of 2,000 Signatures

Rishi Sunak - don’t pay for your ads with taxpayers' moneyPrime Minister Rishi Sunak wants to spend millions of pounds of taxpayers' money on a Government advertising campaign to promote the Conservative Party’s “five priorities”. Civil servants are pushing back that the campaign is “too political”. There is pushback from those within Whitehall because Rishi Sunak’s plans clearly don’t fit within the guidelines. A huge petition right now will show Rishi Sunak that we agree with civil servants that taxpayer money should not be spent on adverts to promote him or his party.33,558 of 35,000 Signatures

Save Mamounia Lounge: A Venue Worth PreservingDear supporters, We stand at a critical juncture in the history of our vibrant community. Mamounia Lounge, an innovative and well-loved establishment, faces an uncertain future due to proposed changes to our lease. We cannot allow this iconic venue to vanish from our lives, robbing Mayfair of an irreplaceable gem. Let us come together and raise our voices in a united plea to save Mamounia Lounge. Since opening our doors in 2004, Mamounia Lounge Mayfair has captivated Londoners and tourists alike. We quickly established ourselves as a premier destination for food lovers, outdoor smoking and those seeking an unforgettable experience. Our innovative Lebanese and Moroccan menu has dazzled many palates, and we hope to continue to do so for years to come. However, the landlord’s request threatens to extinguish the magic of Mamounia Lounge. The proposed redevelopment of the Curzon Cinema building, which includes the revocation of Mamounia Lounge's trading license, jeopardises both establishments that have become beloved institutions within our community. This development smacks of profiteering, disregarding the years of dedicated service Mamounia Lounge has provided to our local community and beyond. We cannot allow this loss to happen. The Curzon Cinema has initiated their own petition, and we are prepared to follow their lead in defending our treasured venues. The recent grant of Asset of Community Value (ACV) status by Westminster City Council provides some protection, but uncertainties surrounding the lease persist. By signing this petition, you affirm that the potential loss of Mamounia Lounge and the Curzon Cinema would severely impact our community's amenities. Together, we can send a resounding message, ensuring they understand the local impact and the number of individuals affected by their decision. The time to act is now. Sign the petition, and let our voices be heard!494 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Ammar Wafaie

SNCI sites and the Bristol Development PlanBristol Tree Forum has presented compelling evidence both to the Mayor’s office and to Council officers that the local plan map is incorrect, yet the administration declines to correct it, even though it has the power to do so by a simple resolution of Full Council. We have even drafted a resolution to enable this to happen. Here it is: Draft Motion to Full Council 11 July 2023 This council notes that, when the Site Allocations and Development Policies was adopted in July 2014, the following designated Sites of Nature Conservation Interest (SNCI - code ‘BC’) had Site Allocations (BSA) placed on them: 1. BC1 BSA1110 - The Hangar Site and Filwood Park, north of Hengrove Way. 2. BC16 BSA1201 - Land at Broom Hill, Brislington. 3. BC49 BSA1305 - Land to the north-west of Vale Lane, Bedminster Down. 4. BC54 BSA1124 - Kingswear Road, Torpoint Road and Haldon Close. 5. BC64 BSA1205 - Wicklea and adjacent land, St Anne’s / Broom Hill, nr Brislington. 6. BC80 BSA1108 – Land at Novers Hill, east of Hartcliffe Way and west of Novers Lane / Novers Hill. 7. BC80 BSA1114 – Land at Novers Hill, adjacent to industrial units. 8. BC80 BSA1119 – Land to east of Hartcliffe Way, south of the Waste Depot. 9. BC108 BSA0402 - Bonnington Walk former allotments site, Lockleaze. The Site Allocations and Development Policies Map (the Map) was published at the same time. This unilaterally altered the boundaries of the SNCIs above so that the areas within them which were overlapped by these BSAs were excluded, even though their boundaries had not been changed by the Local Sites partnership, the only body authorised to alter or de-designate SNCIs. This council believes that these changes to the Map were made in error and that the Map, which does not form part of the Bristol Development Plan, now needs to be corrected to show the true boundaries of the SNCIs affected. This council resolves to correct the Map to show the correct boundaries of the SNCIs affected. All that the Council needs to do is pass this resolution and then instruct officers to correct the local plan map. We call on Bristol City Council to take its commitments to nature conservation seriously and amend the local plan map.1,627 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Mark CD Ashdown - Chair, The Bristol Tree Forum

THE ODEON CINEMA IN WESTON SUPER MAREI have a lot of fond memories at this Cinema and i would like them to live on for ever more. I think the people of our town deserve that this cinema should remain in the town as all the people like me have wonderful memories of going to the great cinema The Odeon at Weston super Mare. The prices at the Odeon where cheaper than the new cinema in town which is Cineworld £11.79 for a ticket, the Odeon was £9.95 for a ticket it is such a blow that it has now closed.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John Counsell

Save Lloyd's bank kinsonPlease re think the closure of the last bank on our high Street. It is well used and well needed. Please think of the local people who value this bank over your profits. It is always busy in there and I can't believe you say its being closed because not enough people use it. This is a complete lie as it is always busy. Your staff are friendly and know their customers there is a very pleasant feel in this bank. Lots of elderly use this bank and without it there is a 2 hour return trip on a bus to get to the next nearest bank . This is very unfair. There use to be a rule the last bank on a high street had to stay when did this change? Not everybody wants to bank on line and you are being very selfish forcing people into this direction to cut costs and line your pockets. Banks are suppose to be for the people so why are they all disappearing? We are a little village but we are still as important as any big town ,our money is still as good as any big town . You are taking the heart out of our village. We need to take a stand against these big banks it's their customers who pay their wages. Why do we never get a say. Our village banks are really important and need to be kept open. Our feeling should be taken into account.111 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Marina Harding

Please don't demolish Park House, CrosbyPark House has been a community landmark for over 150 years with a deep-rooted history spanning from Crosby and Waterloo's original settlement from marshland to the districts that they are today. Be it the detailed Italianate design of the structure, the role it has played in modern-day Catholic faith or simply the medical influence on so many people's lives across the Sefton Borough and beyond, there are a host of diverse reasons to preserve this community asset. It can be universally accepted that an alternative use for the site as proposed by our preferred purchaser would definitively bolster efforts to reduce an extreme release of carbon into the atmosphere if demolition and deforestation were to proceed.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David Barton

NHS affiliated Agenda for Change staff not getting pay awardI am a practitioner, employed by HCRG Care Group on an Agenda for Change contract to deliver NHS services on behalf of the NHS. The company informed staff on 26/04/23 that the government will not be funding some of the recent Agenda for Change pay deal for people not directly employed by the NHS. This means that NHS staff not working for NHS trusts will not receive the pay deal, whereas colleagues working for NHS trusts providing the same services and care will. This is completely unjust, I have worked in my current role for seven years, initially under an NHS Trust then under Virgin Care, (via TUPE) and now HCRG. I have had no input or influence on who my employers have been and by choice would still be working for an NHS trust. Staff on Agenda for Change contacts not working directly for the NHS are being unfairly penalised for a situation under which they have no control. I am asking for your help in appealing to the people in Government who have made this decision to change their minds and ensure all NHS staff receive this money. All NHS staff work equally hard wherever they are employed, and the government should treat us all fairly in rewarding us for that work.92 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Karen Wayne

Block Boris's Honours listThe house of Lords has grown ridiculously large due to Tories trying to pack it. It should be a small hard working revising chamber of the great and the good, not a title to be bought by dubious characters and failed politicians8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jane Fisher

Reject corrupt Johnsons' buddy listBecause I'm sickened to the back teeth of corrupt liars being rewarded for propping up the most shambolic, self serving government in living memory. Nominated by a lying charlatan who has no moral compass at all. Hardly someone to be trusted to bestow honors on anyone10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Shannon Juby

Save Trisha'sThe club and its licence is under review and there is a threat of closure from Westminster Council. We believe that this would be a great loss to our community and support is needed in order to prevent the club being forced to close its doors. We believe that with the support of its members and the wider community, Trisha's can continue to thrive and provide a valuable service to its members for many more years to come. Please sign this petition to show your support and to urge the powers that be to keep the club open.53 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sabrina Murphy
