  • Kurdistan Independence
The Kurds are indigenous nation who historically have always inhabited their own land, Kurdistan, Land of the Kurds, which stretches over the mountainous chain of the Zagros region and its plains, with a population of more than 40 million, who have retained their societal culture and have preserved their own languages and culture, are perhaps the only nation on earth who are still stateless. After the demise of the Ottoman Empire, the Kurds were divided among four newly invented states in the Middle East, Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria, forming entirely a different ethnic minority in each state while the Kurds were made to lose their own identity in the newly created arbitrary countries, these were compromising homogeneous national groups, their by denying the existence of other national groups within their own borders. The signing of the armistice agreement on 30 October 1918 which signaled the demise of the Ottomans has paved the way for the Treaty of Sevres on 10 August 1920, effectively allowing the allied powers in dividing the Ottoman Empire to implement the Sykes –Picot agreement of 1916 which created artificial countries in the Middle East by drawing a line in the sand and instead of delivering the Kurds from the Ottoman Empire, it marked the beginning of their oppression throughout the Middle EastSubsequent events and the new upheaval in the Middle East, including the falls of successive dictatorial regimes, the rise of radicalism and sectarianism, have added to the instability of the region, created new realities on the ground and have shown that old artificial borders are bound to fail. Our Kurdish leaders as well as the whole of the Kurdish nation have joined in, in demanding to have their own independent Kurdistan. The Kurds are the most freedom loving nations but also the most victimised nation throughout their modern history on this planet, who believe in liberty and democracy, therefore we ask you to support our petition to the British and European Parliaments to lend the Kurds full support in achieving their goals in having an independent state. With our sincere gratitude and regards On and behalf of PNKs Dr Khoshnaf Al-Kadi 2017-07-16, London

  • Sack racist Anne Marie Morris MP
On 10 July, a recording emerged of Tory MP Anne Marie Morris using the n-word while taking part in a public discussion about Brexit. While attending an report launch event in central London, the Newton Abbey MP used the phrase “real n*****r in the woodpile” to describe a hypothetical scenario in which the UK leaves the EU without a deal. Despite using the highly offensive term, none of her fellow panellists - including other Tory MPs - reacted. Not one. Which is weird because most of us know that using the n-word is wrong. Don't we? YES, WE DO! So it's up to us to show Morris - and anyone else who thinks it's OK to use n-word in any capacity - that it isn't. To remind Morris and her ilk that there's no such thing as a 'totally unintentional' use of the n-word. That language is powerful, and so when you use the n-word - in any context, but especially while holding public office and in a public space - you inflict unimaginable trauma and pain on a significant section of the UK community. And this is unacceptable. Theresa May MP - you and your party have been accused of being callous, inhumane and out of touch with modern Britain. Now more than ever, we need you to be the 'strong and stable leader' you profess to be and take a zero tolerance approach towards those who seek to divide us as a nation. Sack Morris immediately. • Support the court case demanding the UK keep it's promise to child refugees (DUBS)
After the government has refused a second vote on the issue in parliament, the charity Help Refugees (represented by Leigh Day solicitors) is taking the Home Office to court over the Government’s failure to make suitable arrangements for relocating and supporting a specific number of child refugees as promised by the scheme currently known as "DUBS" under UK immigration law. For those who haven't heard about DUBS, it was an amendment made to 2016 law which requires the government to make arrangements ‘as soon as possible’ (after 31 May 2016) to relocate and support a ‘specified number’ of unaccompanied refugee children from Europe. This scheme was created as a response to the increasing pressure on the UK to help in what has been deemed the worst refugee crisis since World War Two. In February of this year our Home Office abandoned the continuation of DUBS quietly in Parliament, and local governments and charities across the UK have been trying to fight the decision. Help Refugees has now launched a formal legal challenge against the government as part of a last chance effort to protect what is truly a lifeline for unaccompanied/lone children fleeing war and/or conflict to Europe. Keeping the DUBS scheme is essential because currently there are 28 million children uprooted because of conflict in their own countries but over 1/9th of the world's refugees right now are in Europe and children make up a third of these numbers (and above 45% in the South East of Europe such as Greece and Macedonia), which make legal channels like DUBS essential for these kids to be able to begin a better life and to not be left to be targeted by traffickers and abusers who focus on Europe's camps. As the 6th richest country in the world, the UK is denying it's international commitments by reversing yet another safe legal passage for these children. Our local councils have said the UK can take in 4000 more children - meaning we have the capacity, all that's lacking is the willingness of our government to support our capacity to give. In its stance, the Home Office is targeting without justification children who have absolutely no one else to turn to and whose lives and futures are at significant risk right now. They have lost everything, meanwhile our government stands from a distance and says we have nothing to give. The Charity Help Refugees and those lawyers standing against the Home Office this week, are doing so because they reject this position. They reject that this is the UK we believe in. We ask the UK public to support this court case as the last chance to keep this scheme in law. We ask that you sign and spread the word about this case and that you don't let the lives of so many kids be determined behind closed doors. Let's shame the Home Office for its position, let's stand tall and fight for the right of these children to a better future from conflict.

  • Label 'GM-Fed' animal products for consumption
We should have the right to know about how our food is produced, so that we can choose to consume it, or not to. Therefore clear labelling is very important. Also it should be a basic Human Right to be able to avoid food, if it can make us ill. It is suspected that at least 27 people died and over 1500 to 2000 people became permanently disabled (and still awaiting a cure), after consuming a genetically engineered food supplement called 'L Tryptophan' some years ago [This can easily be checked by googling 'Tryptophan + GM Deaths'. Also see below in red box]. On a personal level, 'GM-Fed' animal products have been making me ill, since my local food shops have been selling them unlabelled these past approximate 8 years. It is clear to me that playing about with Nature's deep foundations is not a safe thing to do, coming from our still highly undeveloped level of consciousness. Please support this petition.

  • Sentence Acid Attackers to Life imprisonment
Recently an attack took place where a 21 year old woman Resham, along with her cousin suffered severe burns due to an acid attack. Acid burns can severe the skin to excrutiating conditions, which has evidently destroyed the lives of the two victims. It is important that the judiciary system in the UK makes an example of the individual responsible for the acid attack, in order to deter anybody else from ever comitting such a henious crime.

  • CoStar Target Changes
We are a company that collects and sells information regarding the commercial real estate industry. As a company in the 21st century, we pride ourselves on being innovators of technology, however, staff are expected to make use of talking on the phone above any other means of communication. The current standard operating procedure values the amount of 90 second calls we make to agents over the information that we collect. How data is collected should not matter, as long as the data (which is what we sell) is collected.

  • NCAP style fire safety notices to be installed on buildings
Cars already display their safety features so why don't buildings. Food outlets display their hygiene rating so why not fire safety rating People should know before they enter a building the level of risk they take in event of a fire. Building owners would also then be under immeadiate pressure to ensure they achieve and maintain at least minimum standards. This could help prevent another Grenfell Tower Tragedy

  • Tell MP's & The Lords to forgo Summer Recess
Theresa May, all MP's & Lords represent the citizens of the United Kingdom, how can they do so when they are not in parliament debating the concerns and rights of the British people? As we sit teetering on civil unrest, and in light of the recent horrific atrocities and including the forthcoming brexit negotiations it is paramount that Theresa May, all MP's & Lords should be accountable for their movements and remain seated throughout the period from 21 July 2017 - 5th September 2017 for the sake of the British people. If 100's sign this petition today demanding that Theresa May, all MP's & Lords remain seated then we can ensure laws and policies are dealt with in a timely manner and the citizens of the United Kingdom get value for money from the public purse!
